ABOUT ASFL
NEW VISIONS
The American Spring Football League, INC (“ASFL” or “League”) is a professional spring football league in the United States. We anticipate that the initial years of the League will feature 4 teams throughout the State of Texas, AND 4 MORE teams in neighboring states. With future League expansions planned for the Northeast in year two, and the West Coast seeing expansion in year three.
The ASFL has a simple yet unique plan which is completely different than that in the current marketplace and being attempted by others.
NEW VISIONS NEW GAME
PROFESSIONAL SPRING FOOTBALL
The ASFL has studied previous Spring and alternative Football leagues, what worked and what didn’t, to put together a league that will have the optimum opportunity to succeed.
INDIVIDUALLY OWNED TEAMS
The ASFL is organized as a sole business entity with teams owned and managed by individuals or groups. Ownership will have operational and creative control of their teams with assistance from the league office for marketing, merchandising, advertising, and business affairs. Furthermore, the team owners will have input in setting league rules to create the most exciting product possible.
INNOVATIVE NEW RULES
The ASFL has a simple yet unique plan which is completely different than that in the current marketplace and being attempted by others. The ASFL will follow American style rules, with the exception of several new rules to professional football.
TERRITORIAL DRAFT
The ASFL will hold two drafts before the start of each season. The first will be a territorial draft. Each team will select 26 players from the 5 league selected local schools. The list of 26 players must be summited to the league office 14 days prier to the day of the regular season draft.
AFFORDABLE TICKETS
As a critical part of the ASFL platform, our mission statement and goal is not only to bring professional spring football back into current times, but to help support our local communities through the league team’s participation in business and community development and providing a family-friendly environment where everyone can have the chance to enjoy professional sports in their own community.
